Follow These 6 Tips

Follow These 6 Tips to Improve Your Marketing

Follow these 6 tips when planning & writing your marketing…brochures, websites, social media posts, emails, ads, whatever. THEY WORK!

1. Talk about them instead of about you. Tell them how their life will be better, how they will save money, how a task will be easier. Make your company the solution to their need or problem.
2. Avoid using lingo common to your industry, but unknown to the general public. Mistakenly, marketers frequently think using techie words makes them look like an expert, but it often drives prospects away because they don’t understand and they don’t want to admit it.
3. Follow the KISS proposition (Keep It Simple Simon). The job of marketing is not to explain details. The point of marketing is to capture attention, interest them in what you are presenting, then provide a way for a prospect to learn more or take action.
4. Provide multiple reasons to buy. Research has shown that providing 3-4 benefits creates a comfort zone for making a buying decision.
5. Make it interesting. Great marketing messages inform, inspire and motivate. Concise headlines, entertaining explanations, precise descriptions, and thought-provoking phrases are the tools of great marketing.
6. Use the delete button. Your first draft is likely too long and wordy. Write, edit, re-write and delete is the path to creating good marketing materials.
